Lexus Chester to support top international tennis tournament in Wrexham

Lexus Chester is proud to support a top international tennis tournament coming to Wrexham for the first time later this year. The Lexus Wrexham Open, which is part of the ITF’s World Tennis Tour, will attract leading British and international tennis stars to Wrexham Tennis & Padel Centre.

Lexus Chester will sponsor a business breakfast for the local business community, one of the flagship hospitality events taking place alongside world-class tennis during the week of October's tournament. Steve Pike, of Lexus Chester, said the centre, whose showroom is at Cheshire Oaks, is delighted to be one of the tournament sponsors. Steve is particularly pleased to be involved having enjoyed a long career as a tennis coach before joining the team at Lexus.

“Lexus has a strong affiliation with British tennis across the UK,” said Steve. “As a local family-run business it is always a pleasure to support local events, especially something as prestigious as The Lexus Wrexham Open.

“With being the local Lexus centre, we were thrilled to be offered the chance to become one of the sponsors.

“This tournament will be a great addition to Wrexham and bringing an event of this stature to the area is fantastic. 
 
“Having taught tennis for 25 years prior to beginning my automotive career, I am very passionate about junior tennis development. Having an event of this scale in Wrexham is a fantastic opportunity for local juniors to see and experience world class tennis."

Dave Courteen, event promoter for the Lexus Wrexham Open, which will take place between October 19-26, has welcomed Lexus Chester adding its name to the growing list of local sponsors.

He added: “It’s brilliant that they have come on board to support the event. 

"Lexus is a main brand sponsor of British tennis, so for Lexus Chester to have the opportunity to support this tournament at a local level is excellent.

“The business breakfast sponsored by Lexus Chester will be held at Wrexham’s Ramada Plaza Hotel on Tuesday, October 21.
