Peak Performance: The Sports Discovery Summit At Wrexham University

The day is an immersive, hands-on experience designed for students aged 16-18 years considering a degree in sport. Rather than sitting through lectures, participants take part in practical “mini taster” sessions that mirror real university learning. From analysing performance data and testing fitness in the lab, to exploring sport psychology techniques and coaching methods on the field, the day brings sport degrees to life.

Students work alongside university lecturers and current undergraduates, gaining first-hand insight into the facilities, technology, and applied learning that define modern sport education. It's an opportunity to experience the science behind performance, ask questions about career pathways, and discover what studying sport at university truly involves.

The afternoon will be spent watching the ITF World Tour taking place just across the campus at the Lexus Wrexham Open.
